At Preferred Restoration Services, we offer fast, reliable, and comprehensive Anaheim water damage restoration to help homeowners and businesses recover from water-related disasters. Whether caused by a broken pipe, storm damage, or sewage backups, water damage can have devastating effects on your property. Our team in Anaheim, CA is available 24/7 to respond to emergencies, mitigate damage, and restore your property to its pre-loss condition.
Serving Anaheim and the greater Southern California area, we specialize in all types of restoration services, from water damage cleanup to mold removal and repairs.
Anaheim water damage often ties back to heavy winter storms and “atmospheric river” rain events that can trigger street flooding, overwhelmed drainage, and (in some areas) fast-moving runoff. In Orange County, the Santa Ana River has historically been the area’s major flooding threat, and the City of Anaheim specifically warns residents to use caution around the river and flood control channels during severe storms.
It’s also common for storm water + wind-driven rain to expose weak spots in roofs, windows, and stucco—so you can get water intrusion even if your home never “floods.” When Southern California gets multi-day storm systems, news reports routinely highlight risks like flash flooding and mud/slide impacts, which is why quick mitigation matters.
We know you’d rather be doing anything else than worrying about an emergency repair. We’re never more than a click or call away!
EXCELLENT Based on 62 reviews Posted on Michelle D.April 23, 2025Verified A straight up honest broker who knows his stuff. Excellent communication and very helpful problem solving our mold issuePosted on Jessica M.April 1, 2025Verified Giving Eric a 5-star review, and we haven't even started any work yet. He came to gave us his professional opinion and quote to address a mold issue in our house. He is clearly very knowledgeable. His opinion was wildly different than the previous estimate we received, from an agency that wanted to charge us about 4 times as much. He did a much more thorough assessment, and explained his reasoning for why he felt that our issue wasn't as extreme as the previous agency. He even gave us some suggestions as to how we could address our issue on our own, if need be. He doesn't appear "out to get you"... there are a lot of companies that work off the "mold is gold" motto, but he doesn't seem to be one of them. If we end up going with him for the job, we'll update the review... but, I was just so happy and relieved with his approach, estimate, knowledge, and his overall professionalism. Glad there are still people like this out there!Posted on Ben T.March 10, 2025Verified Eric and his team were prompt and professional. From diagnosis through cleanup they were very thorough.Posted on Julia H.March 7, 2025Verified Above and beyond expectations. Eric and his team were not only helpful, kind, and relatable to our issues, they were extremely professional and reliable. Always answered our calls. Showed up on time with great attitudes. Respected our home. Most importantly, got the job done in a fast and timely manner. Can't recommend enough.Posted on Lorraine R.March 2, 2025Verified We had a leak under the kitchen sink and called another company first. We were told there is mold and they would have to tent the area to remove it and that we'd also need a whole new cabinet. Of course, it was pretty expensive and they said we couldn't use the kitchen for a couple weeks. Feeling it's always wise to get more than one estimate, I called Preferred Restoration as they had excellent reviews. Eric replied promptly and came out to look things over. He felt the mold wasn't bad enough to require a tent and also felt a whole new cabinet was not required. Needless to say, we accepted his estimate immediately and the work was done in a professional manner. (They don't do the carpentry work, but can make a recommendation.) I highly recommend Preferred Restoration. I believe it's an honest company with skilled professionals.Posted on William P.January 31, 2025Verified Eric the owner was great to work and keep me informed the entire time that the moisture was being removed from my home. Highly recommend Eric and his team for any job!Posted on Elizabeth R.January 3, 2025Verified Right from the start I knew I was going to be in good hands with this company. The response time was super quick and getting Eric to come out to my home to assess the situation was quicker than expected. Eric was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions thoroughly. He took his time to listen to all my concerns to carefully address the issues in my home. He made a stressful situation feel less stressful and manageable. I definitely recommend this company and will contact Eric if needed in the future. Thanks again Eric!Posted on Binh N.December 5, 2024Verified We discovered a mold issue in one of our bedrooms and reached out to Preferred Restoration Services for guidance. Eric was extremely helpful in helping us navigate what needed to be done since we had no experience with this type of issue. He shepherded us through the process and helped us understand every step that needed to be performed. He referred us to a couple of contractors which we used for plumbing and testing and they were also excellent. This was helpful so that we didn't have to figure out who else we needed to work with and vet them as well. Everyone from Preferred Restoration Services was very professional, communication was excellent, and customer service was outstanding. We had a lot of questions and they were all answered very quickly. I highly recommend Preferred Restoration Services for any damage restoration needs.Posted on Tyler H.November 23, 2024Verified Preferred Restoration is the best service in town! If you want quality, fair pricing & guidance, call Preferred Restoration! Ask for Eric, he is very helpful and quick.Posted on Phil L.November 1, 2024Verified We had an issue with a sewer line that leaked and potentially needed some soil remediation under the house. I gave Eric a call and made an appointment for the next day for him to come out and assess the situation. Throughout the process his communication was great and he was on time (even gave me a call to let me know he was on his way). He went above an beyond to even check inside the house for potential water damage/mold. We did not have to move forward with any remediation. I appreciate Eric's communication, thoroughness, and HONESTY. We will keep his contact if we need any work in the future. I highly recommend Eric and Preferred Restoration!

What it is: A pipe or connection starts leaking (slow) or breaks (fast).
Common signs: Wet drywall, dripping sounds, water under sinks, sudden water bill jump, damp smell.
What to do: Shut off the water, move items off wet areas, and start drying right away. A slow leak can still cause big damage if it keeps feeding moisture into walls.
What it is: The tank or fittings fail and water spills into the garage, closet, or utility area.
Common signs: Puddles around the unit, rust stains, rumbling noises, water coming from the bottom of the tank.
What to do: Turn off the water supply to the heater and power/gas (if safe). Water heaters can dump a lot of water quickly, so extraction + drying matters.
What it is: Hoses crack, clamps loosen, or a supply line fails behind the appliance.
Common signs: Water under/behind the machine, warped flooring, damp cabinets, musty odor near the kitchen/laundry.
What to do: Shut off the appliance water valve (or main water), stop using the unit, and dry under/behind it. These leaks often spread under floors where you can’t see.
What it is: A clog or blocked main line forces water back up into tubs, showers, toilets, or sinks.
Common signs: Multiple drains gurgling, toilet bubbling, water coming up in the shower when flushing, bad odor.
What to do: Stop using water in the house and call for help. If it’s dirty water (sewage), don’t try to “mop it up” without proper cleaning and safety steps.
What it is: Your AC makes condensation; if the drain line clogs or pan overflows, water leaks into ceilings or walls.
Common signs: Ceiling stains near vents, damp spots around the furnace/air handler, dripping in a closet, musty smell when AC runs.
What to do: Turn off the system and get the drain line cleared. Then dry the wet building materials before mold starts.
What it is: Water enters through damaged roofing, cracked flashing, or around vents/skylights.
Common signs: Brown ceiling rings, wet attic insulation, drips during rain, peeling paint near the ceiling.
What to do: Catch drips with a bucket and protect belongings, but don’t assume it’s “minor.” Water can travel along beams and show up far from the actual roof entry point.
What it is: A leak in a pipe under the concrete foundation (the “slab”). It can run for days or weeks before you notice.
Common signs: Warm spots on the floor, cracks, damp carpet or flooring, unexplained water bill spikes, mildew smell.
What to do: Shut off water and get leak detection/repair fast. Slab leaks can soak the pad, flooring, and walls—drying is usually needed even after the pipe is fixed.
What it is: Broken sprinkler heads, cracked lines, or overwatering that keeps the soil soaked against the home.
Common signs: Soft or muddy spots outside, water pooling near the house, damp baseboards on an exterior wall, musty smell in a room near the yard.
What to do: Turn off irrigation and fix the leak. If the inside wall/floor is damp, dry it quickly—slow moisture can still lead to swelling, staining, and mold.
Our Mold Remediation Process
One of the most serious consequences of water damage is mold growth. Mold thrives in damp conditions and can begin to develop within 24–48 hours after water damage. If left untreated, it can lead to long-term structural damage and severe health problems, especially for individuals with allergies or respiratory issues.
We assess your property for visible and hidden mold growth, testing for mold spores in the air and on surfaces.
To prevent mold spores from spreading, we isolate the affected areas using advanced containment techniques.
Our team safely removes all mold from affected areas, including hard-to-reach spaces like air ducts and behind walls.
We clean and sanitize surfaces to remove odors and harmful bacteria.
We provide recommendations to help you prevent mold growth in the future, such as controlling humidity and repairing leaks.
